Get ready for a metal onslaught! Two legendary bands, ONSLAUGHT and WARLORD, are about to embark on a tour that will shake the foundations of North America. This is a historic moment for metal fans, as these iconic acts prepare to unleash their powerful music on a continent that has been waiting far too long.
ONSLAUGHT, the UK thrash metal pioneers, are returning to North America after an astonishing 11-year hiatus. Their set list will be a force to be reckoned with, drawing from their seminal albums "Power From Hell" and "The Force," which defined extreme thrash metal in the 1980s. With the triumphant return of vocalist Sy Keeler, the band promises an epic experience, ensuring no fan will miss out on this unforgettable setlist.
But here's where it gets controversial... WARLORD, the cult metal heroes based in Los Angeles, have never toured North America in their 45-plus-year career. Despite being an American band, they've kept their live performances largely overseas. Now, they're ready to rectify that, and this is the part most people miss: they're bringing their entire seminal album "Deliver Us" to the stage, along with other classic material.
ONSLAUGHT guitarist Nige Rockett couldn't be more excited, stating, "It's gonna be mega! We're bringing this tour to the entire USA so that everyone can experience this epic setlist!"
WARLORD drummer Mark Zonder adds, "This year, we're setting out on our first-ever tour of North America, performing the set that fans have been waiting for all these years. We're bringing the full 'Deliver Us' mini LP, 'Cannons' tracks, and more."
The tour dates are set, and the anticipation is building. From Houston to Vancouver, these two bands will leave their mark.
ONSLAUGHT, formed in Bristol in 1982, has a rich history, emerging from hardcore punk roots to shape the British thrash scene with their politically charged lyrics and relentless speed. Their early albums are genre classics, influencing countless extreme metal bands.
WARLORD, born in 1981, is a brainchild of guitarist/songwriter William J Tsamis and drummer Mark Zonder. Despite Tsamis's health issues, which limited their live performances, WARLORD has built a massive following in the metal world. Now, with a new lineup including founding member Zonder and other talented musicians, they rise again, ready to conquer North America.
This tour is a celebration of metal, a genre that thrives on passion and energy. It's a chance for fans to witness the power of these legendary bands and experience the music that has shaped the genre.
So, metalheads, are you ready to join this force from hell? The stage is set, and the music will speak for itself.
